Excellent corrosion resistance: SGCC is a steel sheet that has been hot-dip galvanized. Hot-dip galvanizing is to immerse the steel sheet in heated and molten zinc to obtain a thicker coating (about 50-100µm), and an alloy layer of zinc and base metal can be formed between the coating and the base metal layer, making it extremely corrosion-resistant for a long time. Zinc combines with oxygen in the air to form a passivated oxide film. Even if a small scratch occurs on the electroplated surface and the internal iron is exposed, it will first corrode the surrounding zinc to prevent the iron from being corroded. This phenomenon is called sacrificial corrosion protection.
Good processability: SGCC is based on SPCC (cold-rolled steel sheet) as the base material. SPCC has excellent processability and is mostly used for forming processes such as bending and drawing. Therefore, SGCC also has good processability. However, during the pressing process, the general SGCC has the disadvantage that the electroplated zinc adheres to the mold, but the alloyed hot-dip galvanized steel sheet eliminates the difference between the base metal layer and the electroplated layer, alloying the electroplated layer as a whole and improving the adhesion.
Decorative: It can usually be used without painting because of its thick coating and good corrosion resistance, but it can also be chromated to add decorative effects such as color close to yellow (gold), black or gloss.
SGCC is not a material with particularly high strength, but it has excellent corrosion resistance and is used in many places. It is mainly used for items exposed to wind and rain, such as roof panels, gutters, signs, etc.; it is also used for automobiles, metal shell products, etc.; it is also used for materials for power transmission towers, guide rails, and running parts of vehicles; in construction, it can be used as a material for rolling shutters and window guards, and is also used in the form of galvanized sheets for the exterior walls and roofs of buildings.

Thickness: SGHC and SGCC are the same hot-dip galvanized steel sheets, generally processed according to JIS G 3302, but it is made of hot-rolled original plates, and the thickness of the application is 1.6mm or more and 6.0mm or less, which is thicker than SGCC.
