Advanced Metallic Coatings (Z, ZA, ZM, AZ)
The "+Z/ZA/ZM/AZ" suffixes indicate protective metallic coatings applied to the base steel, delivering superior corrosion resistance tailored to diverse environments
Z (Zinc Coating): A classic zinc layer providing cathodic protection, shielding the steel from rust by sacrificing itself to prevent corrosion of the underlying metal.
ZA (Zinc-Aluminum Coating): Blends zinc with aluminum (typically 5–15%), offering better corrosion resistance than pure zinc, particularly in humid, coastal, or industrial settings.
ZM (Zinc-Magnesium Coating): Contains magnesium (1–3%), which forms a dense, self-healing oxide layer, significantly improving resistance to pitting corrosion and extending service life.
