Characteristics of different grades
S235JR galvanized steel pipe
Strength: The strength grade is 235MPa, the yield strength is usually around 235MPa, and the tensile strength is between 360-510MPa. This enables it to meet general load-bearing requirements and is suitable for scenarios where strength requirements are not particularly high.
Impact toughness: JR means that its impact toughness is below 27J. This certain degree of impact toughness can maintain the relative stability of the structure under certain external force impact.
Chemical composition: It is made of low-carbon steel with a low carbon content of about 0.16-0.23%. The low carbon content gives it good plasticity, toughness and welding properties, making it easy to process and connect.
Application scenarios: Suitable for the manufacture of general building structures and some light mechanical parts, such as bridges, high-rise buildings, industrial plants, etc. The galvanized layer enhances its corrosion resistance, can be used for a long time in different environments, and improves the structural safety and stability of the building.
S275JR galvanized steel pipe
Strength: It is a low-alloy high-strength structural steel with a yield strength of about 275MPa and a tensile strength of 430-560MPa. It has moderate strength, is stronger than S235JR, and can withstand greater loads.
Chemical composition: The carbon content is about 0.23%, the manganese content is about 1.5%, the silicon content is about 0.4%, the phosphorus content is about 0.04%, and the sulfur content is about 0.05%. The slightly higher carbon content than S235JR also determines that it has better strength and hardness.
Processing performance: It has good processing performance and high plasticity and weldability, which is convenient for various processing operations to meet different engineering needs.
Application scenarios: It is widely used in a variety of construction and structural engineering, such as heavy machinery. It performs well in some building structures and mechanical components that require higher strength and durability.
S355JR galvanized steel pipe
Strength: It has very high yield strength and tensile strength. The yield strength is usually around 355MPa and the tensile strength is between 470-630MPa. The higher strength enables it to withstand large loads and high stresses.
Impact toughness and weldability: JR indicates that its impact toughness is below 27J, and the impact test is carried out at room temperature. At the same time, it has excellent toughness and good weldability, and can maintain good performance in different environments, which is convenient for welding construction.
Application scenarios: Due to its high strength, good toughness and weldability, it is often used in construction, bridges, ships, vehicles and other fields. After galvanizing, it is more suitable for use in some humid and corrosion-risk environments.
Characteristics of galvanized layer
After the three grades of steel pipes are galvanized, the galvanized layer can provide good anti-corrosion protection for the steel pipe, extend the service life of the steel pipe, reduce maintenance costs, and enable it to adapt to different harsh environments, such as humid underground environments, industrial environments with chemical corrosion risks, etc.
