DX51D, DX52D, DX53D, and DX54D are the classifications of continuous hot-dip galvanized steel sheets and strips in European standards (EN), where "D" stands for hot-dip galvanizing. Different numbers represent different performance levels. Generally, the larger the number, the better the elongation performance and other indicators12. "Z" stands for hot-dip galvanized layer, and is usually followed by a number such as z40, z60, z100, etc. The number represents the weight of the galvanized layer in g/m². The larger the number, the thicker the galvanized layer and the better the corrosion resistance.
