Description of SGCC galvanized steel coil
SGCC is a steel sheet that has been hot-dip galvanized. It is also called galvanized sheet or galvanized iron sheet. It is a material made of SPCC (cold rolled steel sheet) after hot-dip galvanizing, and its basic properties are almost the same as SPCC. Hot-dip galvanizing is a method of immersing steel sheets in heated molten zinc. The coating of SGCC is thicker than that of SECC, which is electro-galvanized, at about 50-100µm, so it has high corrosion resistance.
However, since the product is immersed in high-temperature molten zinc, deformation caused by heat may occur sometimes. In zinc alloy electroplating, hot-dip galvanizing usually uses lead, and in recent years, aluminum and magnesium have been increasingly added. Among the 11 types of hot-dip galvanized steel sheets specified in [JIS G3302:2019 Hot-dip galvanized steel sheets and strips], SGCC is the only one used for general purposes.
Usually, SGHC may be a hot-dip galvanized hard steel coil, which is often used for structural parts with high tensile strength requirements; while SGC400 may have specific strength standards, etc., and may be used in industrial manufacturing, building structures and other scenarios with specific requirements for steel strength, toughness and other properties.
