Chemical composition characteristics
S235JR: The carbon content is relatively low, about 0.16 - 0.23%, and its chemical composition is ≤0.17 ≤1.40 ≤0.35 ≤0.040 ≤0.040 (corresponding to the upper limits of carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur respectively), and the content of impurity elements is relatively small.
S275JR: The carbon content is slightly higher, about 0.21 - 0.27%, and the content of impurity elements such as sulfur and phosphorus is also slightly higher, and the chemical composition is ≤0.24 ≤1.60 ≤0.55 ≤0.040 ≤0.040.
S355JR: The chemical composition is ≤0.24 ≤1.60 ≤0.55 ≤0.040 ≤0.040, which is the same as S275JR in the upper limit of some element content, but as a high-strength steel, it achieves high-strength performance through reasonable composition ratio and processing technology.
