SS400/SS490 steel plate
Both SS400 and SS490 steels are classified and produced according to (JIS). Their labeling follows the unique Japanese steel naming convention, where "SS" stands for steel and the number behind it represents the minimum tensile strength of the steel. For example, SS400 means that the minimum tensile strength of the steel is 400MPa, while SS490 means that its minimum tensile strength is 490MPa.
