A283 Grade B/C steel sheet is a carbon structural steel under the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard. Taking A283GrC steel sheet as an example, it has specific chemical composition and mechanical properties. Its chemical composition requirements are as follows: carbon (C) content ≤ 0.24%; silicon (Si) content ≤ 0.40% when the steel plate thickness is ≤ 40mm, and 0.15 - 0.40% when the steel plate thickness is > 40mm; manganese (Mn) content ≤ 0.90%; sulfur (S) content ≤ 0.040%; phosphorus (P) content ≤ 0.035%; copper (Cu) content ≤ 0.20%. Its yield point (σs/MPa) ≥ 30 (205), elongation after fracture (δ5/%) ≥ 221.
